10 Twitter Personalities

Almost all of the personalities that I followed are comedians. I followed Ellen Degenerous, Trevor Noah, Hannibal Buress, John Mulaney, Chelsea Peretti, Larry Wilmore, Jessica Williams, Jordan Carlos, The Daily Show, and Roy Wood Jr. All of the comedians have similar brands, they are associated with quick wit, progressiveness, and funny jokes. They illustrate their brand by tweeting funny things and having entertaining descriptions. They show their progressiveness by re tweeting liberal posts. They also share funny clips from their shows and stand-up routines. they also utilize Twitter to advertise their products in order to attract more people to their fan base. As for whether I think they are authentic or fake, I think there is a certain level of falseness to every persons twitter account. Twitter is a place where people only share the good things about themselves, and the amount of advertising these personalities do adds to the falseness of their image. Another important thing to note is that comedians are always trying to set up a joke which adds a little bit of falseness to anything they say in my opinion. However, when these personalities tweet about their liberal views, their serious sides show. You can tell that they really care about the future of America in this sense. The rhetorical appeal that all of them use is pathos, which is illustrated by how they rely on humor to evoke emotion.
