Better as a Movie

I personally read and hated the Twilight books. I would say that the movie version of New Moon was better because it was shorter, and left out boring dialogue. A lot of the problems with the book were fixed in the movie. I personally think that the main romance was creepy, and it was a little less creepy in the movies because a lot of the weird obsession and stalking was cut out. Also, the other characters were focused on more than they were in the book, which was a great change because they were more interesting than the two main characters. Furthermore, the movie had a lot more humorous scenes than the book. I think the biggest problem with film adaptations of books is that they don't have the time to weave all of the intricacies of the plot like books do. I feel that most movies would be better as TV shows because then there would be more time to explore the ideas from the book. Two part movies are a pet peave of mine because they destroy the plot of movies. The first part is all exposition, and then you have to wait a year for the second part, which is all climax. I find it very jarring, and it has ruined many movies that I would have otherwise loved. The reason that all of the Twilight books work well as movies is because they have little substance, and a lot of the dialogue can be cut out out.
